My New Office

I know that it's been about 6 weeks since my last post and I apologize for the extended break! However, during that time God has orchestrated what we feel is a major step forward in the journey towards our call to Italy!

As many of you know, Stephen and I both work for our church, Victory World Church. Stephen is the Assistant Tech. Producer/Lighting Designer and works all 4 of our weekend services (1 on Saturday and 3 on Sunday), along with 3 days in the office every week. For the last 2 years, I have worked as Event Coordinator and although I greatly enjoyed it, the nature of the job meant long hours and lots of weekend work. Ever since we returned from our vision trip to Italy in April, we have been longing to get started in support raising so that we can get back to Italy and the ministry God has for us there. I'm sure you can imagine that it was difficult to do that with both of us working full-time, so the Lord made a way for us to do something about it!

Our church has been so supportive throughout this whole process and when I approached them about transitioning out of my position into something part-time, they were more than willing to accommodate! This week we started what I like to call "almost full-time" support raising! On Tuesdays and Thursdays I now work as a receptionist for our church office, but on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, I am working from our home "office" (it's really just a desk in our kitchen but at least it's a desginated space!) doing all the administrative things it will take for us to raise the monthly support we will need on the mission field. This will also allow me to help Stephen as he makes follow-up calls and sets up meetings with potential supporters and churches.

Already this week, we've had 2 people tell us they would like to become financial supporters, along with being invited to speak at a luncheon next month! We know that God will open even more doors as we move forward! We greatly appreciate your prayers as we enter into this next phase!
