As I sit here in a Chick-fil-A about an hour north of Indianapolis, I'm trying to process everything that took place over the last week during our missions training at TEAM.
I had wanted to post something each day, but honestly, after being in class from 8 am to 5 pm every day and then having dinner with all the other missionaries, by the time we got back to our hotel room each night, I was feeling a little information overload.
I think I'm still suffering from that a bit. The things that we talked about and contemplated this week are somewhat overwhelming. Until coming to the training, we could have called this missions venture off at any point (not that we would have), but now we know too much to turn back from this path we've started down. The global need for people willing to go out and share Jesus with a lost world can no longer be ignored, even if we wanted to. Stories of missionaries facing joys and hardships, triumphs and struggles became real to us because they were told by people we now call friends. For better or worse, no matter what comes, we are fully commited to this call.
I think it will take us a little more time to process everything we learned this week, so I hope to share things here in the weeks to come. Thank you for your prayers and support during this time! We couldn't have done this without you all!
