Mission-Minded Monday - Operation Christmas Child

A couple of weeks ago at the Catalyst Conference in Atlanta, I had the pleasure of filling a shoebox full of toys and goodies for a little girl that I will never meet. I will never know the impact that my shoebox with the small sweater and Barbie toy will have on this child's life, but God knows. And more than that, God so loves that little girl!

Every year, Samaritan's Purse sets out to make a difference in the lives of children all over the world with their Operation Christmas Child. Here's a little more information:

Operation Christmas Child brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled shoe boxes and the Good News of God’s love. Since 1993, more than 61 million shoe boxes have been packed, shipped, and delivered across the globe. People of all ages can be involved in this simple, hands-on missions project while focusing on the true meaning of Christmas—Jesus Christ.

This week is National Collection Week. I encourage you to get out and fill a shoebox for a child in need. You never know how that small act of kindness can impact lives for Christ. For more information, visit www.samaritanspurse.org.
